Nautilarm Installation
The Nautilarm is very quick and simple to install with the minimum of tools. A typical installation should take less than one hour.
- Mount the Nautilarm
The unit measures only 130mm x 100mm taking up little space it can be located easily virtually anywhere in the boat using the included fixings.
- Fit the antenna
For steel boats the roof mounted unit is the best option for better GSM coverage and this simply involves drilling a small hole in the roof to attach the antenna through. If you have concerns about this you can use the alternative self adhesive window mount antenna that you simply stick to the windows glass.
- Connect and mount the optional key switch if required
The key switch provides an alternative form of arming and disarming to using a key fob or text message, mounting simply involves drilling one hole to pass the cable through and secure the key switch.
- Fit the siren
Various styles of siren are available for both internal and external use these are all a simple two wire connection.
- Provide a 12v or 24v supply to the unit from a constant feed.
The power supply can be taken directly from the battery terminals or from another suitable distribution point. A suitable fuse is provided in the installation kit.
- Locate the wireless PIR motion detector/s.
These can either atteched using self adhesive pads, or screwed.
- Program the Nautilarm
This simply consists of sending text messages to the Nautilarm containing the numbers of the phones you wish it to contact in the event of a alarm. Various other options are programmable if you wish but the unit comes pre programmed to work straight out of the box.
It really is that simple and if you do encounter problems we are on hand to talk you through the process!
